Stalking and Harassment Assessment and Risk Profile (SHARP)

Caution—before using this assessment please read the statement below.

Computers and phones can be monitored in many ways. For example, websites that you visit from your computer or phone can be tracked because they are in the memory of your computer or phone. Also, there are software programs that can secretly record everything you do on a computer or phone. If you feel your phone or computer use might be monitored, use a safer computer like a friend's or one at a public library.

If you are a victim or a target of someone who is threatening, harassing, or stalking you – this assessment is for you. However, someone who is knowledgeable about the situation can also answer the questions as a preliminary information gathering step.

If you are an advocate or someone interested in seeing how SHARP works, we recommend that you do several test or practice cases to get familiar with SHARP. We also recommend you use SHARP to help others understand more about stalking, harassing, and threatening situations. If you are just testing SHARP or entering a practice case please make sure to let us know that when you get to the question about whether this is a practice case.
